SJ 01: Toy Character

Tony Tony Chopper
Most of the time, Chopper is a toddler-sized human/ reindeeer hydrid, his devil fruit abilities allow him to change his appearance depending on the situation. Chopper is a naive and incredibly timid, often acting like a child because he doesn't know any better. He is an upright friend and companion who will try anything to overcome a task given by his team.


Doraemon
A robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a schoolboy, Nobita Nobi. Doraemon is sent back to improve Nobita's circustances so that his descendants may enjoy a better future. In a typical chapter, Nobita comes home crying about problems he faces, Doraemon always offers helpful advise to his problems.


Monkey D. Luffy
Monkey D. Luffy is a character and main protagonist of the One Piece. Luffy is a portrayed as a carefree character with great ambitions and huge appetite. He is caring and generally good hearted. Knowing the dangers ahead, he is wiling to risk his life to reach his goal, and protect his crew.

Steven Holl (born December 9, 1947, Bremerton, Washington) is an American architect. Holl graduated from the University of Washington and pursued architecture studies in Rome in 1970. In 1976, he attended graduate school at the Architectural Association in London and established his offices New York City. Holl has taught at Columbia University since 1981.

Holl's architecture has undergone a shift in emphasis, from his earlier concern with typology to his current concern with a phenomenological approach. The shift came about partly due to his interest in the writings of philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty and architect-theorist Juhani Pallasmaa.





SIMMONS HALL, MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
The "sponge" concept transforms the building via a series of programmatic and bio-technical functions. Steven Holl's design this for Simmons Hall of MIT, and he won Harleston Parker Medal on 2003, ACEC Engineering Excellence Honor Award, USA, 2004.



LINKED HYBRID
Beijing, China, 2003-2009
One of the ten coolest eco-friendly buildings in the world; One of the largest geothermal projects on earth.The 220,000 square meter pedestrian-oriented Linked Hybrid complex, sited adjacent to the site of old city wall of Beijing, aims to counter the current privatized urban developments in China by creating a new twenty-first century porous urban space, inviting and open to the public from every side.

Award: Popular Science Engineering Award for Largest Geothermal Housing Complex, USA, 2006
            AIA NEW YORK CHAPTER SUSTAINABLE DESIGN AWARD, USA, 2008
            CTBUH 2009 BEST TALL BUILDING IN ASIA AND AUSTRALIA, USA, 2009
